The nomenclature of physiotherapy acts has changed its logic: the historical billing codes AMS and AMC are disappearing in favor of around twenty new billing codes (AMK remaining reserved for assessments and balneotherapy). Understanding this new grid prevents billing errors.

The fundamental change: around twenty new billing codes
Acts previously billed under AMS (rehabilitation) and AMC are now described by around twenty new billing codes (NGAP revised by amendment 7, in force since 22 February 2024). After a transition period, AMS could no longer be billed from 5 July 2024 and AMC from 1 December 2024. AMK, however, remains used for:
- the assessments (including the BDK),
- the physio-balneotherapy supplements.
In practice, each new billing code corresponds to a body region or area of care (spine, limbs, respiratory rehabilitation, abdomen and pelvic floor, palliative care, older people…), and the coefficient reflects the context, including post-operative care. The code you choose must match the area treated.
The billing unit value

What else has changed since 2024
- Balneotherapy supplements revalued on 1 July 2025 (+1.3 coefficient points).
- Specific flat-rate allowance (IFS): €4: since 1 July 2025, the only travel allowance a physiotherapist can bill. It replaces the former IFO, IFP, IFR and IFN.
- Revaluations of certain acts according to the amendments in force.

The practical impact
