Definition

Delta is the clinical assistant for mental health and allied health professionals. It takes session notes, writes session reports, letters and assessment reports, and keeps the patient's record up to date, so you can follow each patient's progress over time.

Who Delta is for

Psychologists, psychiatrists, therapists, neuropsychologists, psychomotor therapists, speech therapists, physiotherapists, osteopaths, occupational therapists and dietitians, in private or group practice. Delta is available in France, Belgium and Switzerland, in French and English (one language per account).

Delta is not meant for coaches or consultants.

How it works

Delta offers two ways to take notes. During the session, Delta transcribes what is said. Or after the session, you dictate your observations in a few sentences. You can also add written notes.

Delta then writes the session report, with a short summary, a detailed summary and the topics for the next session. It takes your profession and approach into account, for example CBT, EMDR or psychodynamic. Delta also writes your letters, certificates and assessment reports, adapted to your profession.

The report is added to the patient's record. The record updates itself with a summary of the follow-up (current situation, recent changes, next steps) and the goals tracked over time. You can import notes from a follow-up that started before Delta.

Delta works in the browser, on computer, tablet and phone. A Mac and Windows app is recommended during sessions, and it is the app that captures the sound of a video consultation.

What Delta does not do

  • Delta does not handle scheduling, billing or insurance claims. Practitioners keep their own software for that.
  • Delta does not diagnose and does not replace the practitioner's judgement. The practitioner reviews and can edit every report.
  • Delta does not yet make live suggestions during the session.

Data and security

  • Hosting. Data is hosted in France, with a host certified for health data (HDS). AI processing, transcription included, runs on servers located in France.
  • Pseudonymisation. The patient's name and any information that could identify them are pseudonymised before reaching the AI.
  • Audio. No audio file is kept. Audio is used only to produce the transcript, then deleted.
  • Training. Data is never used to train an AI model.
  • Contract. The data processing agreement (DPA) is accepted when the account is created, with nothing separate to sign.
  • Retention. Data is deleted 90 days after cancellation.

Full details are in the data processing agreement and the privacy policy, which prevail.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Delta does not keep session audio.
  • Delta is not only for psychologists. It also covers allied health professions.
  • Delta is not practice management software. It has no scheduling or billing.
Is Delta a medical device?

No. Delta helps take notes and write reports. It does not diagnose, and the practitioner remains responsible for what they approve.

Is patient consent required?

The patient must be told the tool is used and be able to say no. There is no form to sign. If they say no, dictating after the session keeps the same follow-up.

Does Delta work for video consultations?

Yes, with the Mac or Windows app, which captures the sound of the video call. On a tablet or phone, a second device is needed for the video call.
