Delta vs Neurobase: which AI tool for occupational therapy documents?

Delta vs Neurobase for occupational therapists: writing from templates or from the session and dictation, patient follow-up, assessments, data and price, based on each tool's website.

Countries covered : Belgium, Switzerland, France

Delta and Neurobase are two French tools that use AI to write occupational therapy documents, but they start from different places. Neurobase writes an assessment from a template that you fill in, while Delta starts from what is said in the session or from your dictation.

This page compares the two tools as honestly as possible, including where Neurobase does better. We publish Delta. The information on Neurobase comes from its official website, consulted on 15 October 2026. When a piece of information is not there, we say so.

Neurobase at a glance

According to its website, Neurobase supports psychologists, neuropsychologists, psychomotor therapists and occupational therapists. The tool is designed in France by neuropsychologists and published by Neurobase SAS, registered in Avignon. The website claims more than 1,000 professionals supported and more than 19,000 reports generated.

The principle is simple. You follow an assessment template step by step, tick and adjust, then the AI writes the text. The website announces more than 160 customisable templates and the option to create custom ones. One feature rewrites the report in plain language for the patient and their family. A partnership with Pearson provides digital scoring of the NEMI-3, an intelligence scale.

On data, its privacy policy states hosting with Google Cloud, on HDS-certified servers in Paris. Writing assistance goes through Mistral AI, on text described as "de-identified". We found no mention of dictation or transcription. One testimonial describes taking notes with a few clicks during the case history interview.

Delta at a glance

Delta is the clinical assistant for mental health and allied health professionals, including occupational therapists, in France, Belgium and Switzerland. During the session, Delta transcribes what is said. After the session or home visit, you can also dictate your observations and add written notes.

Delta generates the session report, with a short summary, a detailed summary and topics for the next session, taking your profession into account. It updates the patient record, with a summary of the care and the goals being tracked. You find the whole course of care and its progress in one place. Delta also drafts assessments, letters and certificates.

Data is hosted in France with an HDS-certified host, and AI processing takes place in France. The patient's name and identifying details are pseudonymised before the AI step. No audio file is kept, as the audio is only used during the session to produce the transcript. Data is never used to train a model. The occupational therapists page presents Delta for your profession.

What sets them apart

How the text is produced

With Neurobase, you build the assessment by filling in a template. You choose the elements, and the AI turns them into sentences. The website highlights one-click writing once the options are chosen. Nothing suggests that the tool starts from your voice.

With Delta, you start from what actually happens in the session. Delta transcribes what is said, or you dictate your observations straight afterwards. This helps in occupational therapy, where part of the assessment takes place during a functional task or at the patient's home, away from the keyboard. You can also type your notes into the tool.

Follow-up between sessions

This is the clearest difference. Neurobase is built first for the assessment. Its terms of sale mention writing reports "and/or follow-ups", but we did not find on its website a record that tracks goals from one session to the next.

Delta generates a report after every session and updates the patient record. The goals being tracked and the summary of care build up session after session. When the end-of-care report or a letter to the doctor is due, the history is already there.

Assessments and tests

Here, Neurobase has strengths. Its templates guide the assessment step by step, and the website announces more than 160 of them. It offers digital scoring of the NEMI-3 with Pearson, and its institution page lists digital scoring among its features. The plain-language rewrite for families can also help in paediatric occupational therapy.

Delta also drafts assessments, adapted to your profession, from your observations. However, Delta does not include standardised tests and does not calculate scores. If your assessments rely on standardised tests, you enter your results yourself.

Data

Both tools state HDS hosting in France. Neurobase names Google Cloud and Mistral AI in its privacy policy. It mentions "de-identified" text without describing the method, and says nothing about model training. Delta pseudonymises the patient's name before the AI step, keeps no audio file and never uses data to train a model.

Access and price

According to its pricing page, Neurobase costs €59 per month as a special offer, instead of €69, or €590 per year. Its terms of sale state that prices include VAT. The website offers to book a demo, also presented as a trial, with no duration or conditions stated. An offer for institutions is available on quotation.

Delta costs €29 per month including VAT on an annual plan, or €35 per month including VAT on a monthly plan. The trial lasts 14 days, with no card required, and the pricing page also shows a free plan limited to 10 sessions per month.

Professions and uptake in occupational therapy

Both tools cover several professions. Neurobase comes from neuropsychology. Of the nine published testimonials, five come from neuropsychologists, two from psychomotor therapists, one from a speech therapist and one from an occupational therapist, who says the tool let her work with a psychomotor therapist. The website does not detail any template specific to occupational therapy. Delta covers mental health and allied health. Neither is built only for occupational therapy.

What neither of them does

Delta does not handle scheduling, billing or electronic claims. The Neurobase website does not mention them. Keep your practice software for these tasks.

Which tool should you choose?

Neurobase will suit you if most of your writing load comes from assessments, if you like working with a detailed template, and if you work in a setting that brings together psychologists, neuropsychologists and psychomotor therapists.

Delta will suit you if you want notes after every session or home visit, without typing during the functional assessment. It also suits you if you want to find the patient's goals and progress in one place, and to draft your assessments and letters as well. You can try it for 14 days with no card required.

Either way, test the tool on a real OT assessment before you commit. Our templates can serve as a benchmark, with the OT assessment report template, the geriatric home assessment and the home adaptation recommendations.

Can I dictate my observations with Neurobase?

We found no mention of dictation or transcription on the Neurobase website as of 15 October 2026. The tool works from templates that you fill in. Ask the publisher if this matters to you.

Does Delta score the tests used in occupational therapy?

No. Delta does not include standardised tests and does not calculate scores. You enter your results yourself in your notes.

Are both tools hosted in France?

Both state HDS-certified hosting in France. Neurobase names Google Cloud in Paris in its privacy policy. With Delta, AI processing also takes place in France. Neurobase uses Mistral AI, without stating where the processing takes place.

Can I use Delta without transcribing the session?

Yes. You can dictate your observations after the session or visit, or type your notes. This is useful if a patient declines transcription.

Should I tell my patient if I use one of these tools?

Yes. The April 2026 recommendations of ANFE, the French occupational therapy association, ask therapists to explain how AI is used and to obtain the person's consent. You remain responsible for the final document.
