Software for speech and language therapists in Belgium: a comparison

Delta, Logopia, Moofl, Easy Logo, My Logopedie, Assistool, Crossuite, Oxygen, Word and ChatGPT: what each tool does for INAMI, billing and assessments, with prices read on 31/10/2026.

Countries covered : Belgium

Software for speech and language therapists (logopedists) in Belgium handles part of the work around each patient: administration (diary, care certificates, billing, insurance checks, INAMI reimbursement requests) or clinical writing (assessments, session reports, letters, follow-up of the patient record). According to their websites, most of the tools reviewed belong mainly to one of the two families. Facts were read on 31/10/2026 on each publisher's official website.

What a Belgian logopedist needs, step by step

Start from the pathway described by INAMI, the Belgian national health insurance institute (page on requesting reimbursement for speech therapy), and see which tool helps at each step.

  • 1. Prescription for the initial assessment by a doctor (for dysphasia, only a paediatric neurologist). Useful tool: the patient file in your management software.
  • 2. Assessment: tests, observations, writing. For the disorders concerned, tests must be on the INAMI limitative list (INAMI page for logopedists). Useful tool: a writing tool (Logopia, Delta). With Delta, scoring and interpretation remain your work.
  • 3. Treatment prescription by the relevant specialist for the disorder.
  • 4. Reimbursement request sent to the mutuality, decided by the medical adviser. Useful tool: software that pre-fills the annex (Logopia, Moofl according to their websites) or Logopedio, which is free. The initial assessment is only reimbursed if treatment is approved and starts within 60 days of the assessment, according to INAMI.
  • 5. Sessions and care certificates: a certificate after each session, or third-party payment. Useful tool: management software (codes, certificates, monthly statements), and a writing tool for session notes and follow-up.
  • 6. Extension through the notification form (annex 99) and a new prescription. Useful tool: software that tracks approvals and session counts, plus a patient record that shows how the patient has progressed.

Rules to know before comparing

  • New 2026 annexes: according to INAMI, annex 98a (2026 version) and annex 99 (2026 version) apply to requests received by mutualities from 1 September 2026. Old versions were accepted until 30 October 2026 inclusive. Software still offering the old forms exposes you to a refusal.
  • Third-party payment: according to INAMI, you apply the agreed tariffs, state the patient's share on the certificate, give the patient the receipt, and send the INAMI part of the certificates yourself every month, no later than two months after the end of the month of care, with a monthly statement in two copies.
  • eHealth and MyCareNet: according to the official MyCareNet list (status at 27/04/2026), the member data service (insurance check) is approved for Assistool, Oxygen (Compufit), Crossuite, Medixys, Moofl and Rosa. No software is listed for eFact or eAttest for logopedists. Assistool says the same on its website: eFact, eAttest and eAgreement services are not yet available for logopedists, and development is under way at the mutualities and the CIN. We recommend checking any promise of electronic transmission against this list.
  • Patient record: Article 35 of the law of 22 April 2019 on the quality of healthcare practice states (our translation): "The healthcare professional keeps the patient record for a minimum of 30 years and a maximum of 50 years from the last contact with the patient." We therefore recommend software that lets you export all your files, so you do not depend on one publisher for decades.
  • GDPR: the Belgian Data Protection Authority states that processing health data is in principle prohibited, except for the exceptions in Article 9(2) GDPR (DPA note). Any publisher handling your files is your processor: we recommend asking for a processing agreement (Article 28 GDPR) and checking the hosting country.

Tool by tool

Delta

Delta is the clinical assistant for mental health and allied health professionals, including logopedists (Delta page for logopedists in Belgium). It is more than a note-taking tool: it keeps the memory of each patient. During the session, Delta transcribes what is said; after the session, you can also dictate your observations or add written notes. It produces the session report (short summary, detailed summary, topics for the next session) and updates the patient record with a summary of the care and the goals being tracked. The whole history is in one place when an extension comes up.

Delta also drafts assessments, reports, letters and certificates adapted to speech therapy, in your vocabulary and structure, learned from your existing assessments. Data stays in Europe, in France, on infrastructure certified for health data; the patient's name and identifying details are pseudonymised before the AI; no audio file is kept; data is never used to train a model (security page).

What Delta does not do: test scoring, score calculation, nomenclature, billing, electronic transmission, diary and INAMI forms. It is not approved by INAMI and does not fill in the annexes. It is a writing and care-memory tool, used alongside your management software. Prices read on 31/10/2026 on the Belgian pricing page: Free plan at €0 for 10 sessions a month, Pro at €35/month incl. VAT with no commitment or €29/month incl. VAT billed annually (€348/year), 14-day trial with no card.

Logopia

According to its website, Logopia is assessment-writing software built for Belgian logopedists, in French and Dutch. You dictate or type your observations, attach your score sheets (PDF, photo, Word) and it drafts the assessment within the INAMI framework, in 8 areas and 5 stages (initial, renewal, follow-up, session report, discharge). Its real strength, which Delta does not have: it pre-fills the reimbursement requests (annexes 98a to 98g) and checks eligibility criteria, while approval remains the medical adviser's decision. It also recalculates severity from standard deviations, and offers session notes, a diary, a follow-up summary, a family version, a school sheet and sending to the prescriber.

According to its security page, data is hosted in Frankfurt, the AI comes from Mistral AI, identifiers (name, national number, INAMI number, contact details) are masked before the AI, and audio files are deleted after transcription. It does no billing, no care certificates and no eID reading. According to its website, dictation happens just after the session; transcription during the session is not stated.

Moofl

According to its website, Moofl is administrative software "100% dedicated to Belgian logopedists": diary with reminders, invoices and certificates compliant with INAMI standards, tracking of approvals and session allowances, insurance checks through the eHealth connection, digitised and pre-filled INAMI forms, patient file, written or audio session notes, payment reminders and accounting export. AI is used for expense entry. Hosting not stated on its website. Billed annually, its pricing page shows €358.80 once a year.

Easy Logo

According to its website, Easy Logo targets logopedists in Belgium who want simple software: patient entry with the eID card, certificates, automatic choice of INAMI codes, invoices, letters, diary, accounting tables, multiple practices, ISO 27001 servers (location not stated). It is the cheapest paid offer we found; the Starter plan is capped at 30 consultations a month. Full 14-day demo after an INAMI check.

My Logopedie

According to its website, My Logopedie is Belgian software for logopedists whose strength is INAMI billing: INAMI codes, tariffs and 2026 nomenclature, BIM patients, reduced patient shares, third-party payment with no commission, OGM structured payment files per mutuality and PDF certificates. Its diary tracks the INAMI prescription and alerts you when 10 sessions remain; the Pro plan adds a booking page. An AI assistant also generates exercises and session plans. Data stays in the EU (servers in Paris, backups in Amsterdam). Writing assessments, dictation and the 98 annexes are not stated on its website. Its Free plan is capped at 10 patients and 10 invoices a month.

Assistool and Logopedio

According to its website, Assistool is an online administrative management tool designed entirely for therapists in Belgium. Its pricing page lists, among others, diary, invoices, certificates, INAMI tariffs and nomenclature, eHealth services for speech therapy, Member Data Access (MDA), Peppol, an assessment module and AI audio notes, without saying which feature belongs to which plan, so we recommend checking this during the trial. Exact hosting location not stated on its website.

According to its help centre, Assistool offers Logopedio for free: you fill in the six reimbursement request forms and the extension notification online and download them as PDF. You remain responsible for the content, and the page does not describe any sending to the mutuality. Assistool is on the MyCareNet list for member data.

Crossuite and Oxygen

According to its website, Crossuite presents itself as software for speech therapy, also multidisciplinary: patient file, diary, finance, report templates, patient portal. According to its pricing page, prices exclude VAT and AI features are billed by usage. According to its website, CGM's Oxygen is patient administration software offered to logopedists, with patient file and test results, certificates, monthly statements, nomenclature codes and tracking of sessions per prescription. For both, AI writing of assessments is not detailed on the pages read.

Word and ChatGPT

Word is where many logopedists start: a personal template you know well, but nothing links sessions or checks the annex. ChatGPT helps rephrase without knowing your patient record. Before pasting part of an assessment into it, we recommend removing all identifying data and checking the processing agreement: you remain the data controller.

Tool left out: Ortho.ia, whose pricing page mentions neither Belgium, INAMI nor logopedists.

Which tool for which need

  • You are starting out with few patients: simple management software (Easy Logo Starter, My Logopedie Free plan for up to 10 patients) and Logopedio for forms. For writing, Delta's Free plan covers 10 sessions a month.
  • Your workload is certificates and approvals: management software approved by MyCareNet for insurance checks (Moofl, Assistool, Crossuite, Oxygen) that tracks session allowances.
  • Your workload is billing and third-party payment: My Logopedie, which according to its website handles third-party payment, BIM patients and OGM files per mutuality.
  • Your workload is the reimbursement request: Logopia, which pre-fills annexes 98a to 98g according to its website, or Moofl's pre-filled forms. Delta does not do this.
  • Your workload is assessments, reports, letters and the memory of each patient's care: Delta, with your management software alongside. Delta transcribes the session or takes your dictation, writes in your structure and keeps the record up to date, which helps with the letter to the prescriber, the school sheet or preparing an extension.
  • You work with other professions too: Delta adapts to each profession and approach, and Crossuite covers several disciplines according to its website.

For the form itself, see our guide to the INAMI speech therapy request in Belgium.

Checklist before choosing

  • Does the software offer annexes 98a and 99 in their 2026 versions?
  • Does it include the nomenclature changed on 1 September 2026, with the new codes for remote sessions (INAMI)?
  • Is it on the MyCareNet list for the service you need?
  • Where is the data hosted, and does the publisher sign a processing agreement (Article 28 GDPR)?
  • Which AI model is used, is your data used to train it, are identifiers removed before the AI, and is audio deleted?
  • If you also work in Dutch, are the interface and the documents produced available in Dutch?
  • Can you export all your files (PDF, Word) to meet a 30-year retention period?
  • Is the price shown including VAT, monthly or annual, and is there a cap on sessions or assessments?
  • Can you test on a real assessment during the trial? Count 7 days at Logopia, 14 at Delta, Easy Logo and Assistool, 30 at Moofl and My Logopedie.
  • Have you planned how to inform patients if you use AI note-taking? See our article on patient consent for AI note-taking in Belgium (in French).

Common mistakes on the annexes

  • Attaching the audiogram, the IQ report or the VFES or FEES report: according to INAMI, you must not attach them to the request.
  • Writing the school year as "2024-2025" instead of the grade ("1er primaire") in annex 98c.
  • Forgetting the ALDeQ questionnaire for a multilingual child (annexes 98b and 98f).
  • Starting treatment more than 60 days after the assessment: the initial assessment is then not reimbursed.

For assessment and letter templates you can adapt, see our clinical document templates, and to understand the tool in detail, what is Delta.

Is there software that writes the speech therapy assessment and fills in the INAMI annex?

According to its website, Logopia drafts the assessment and pre-fills annexes 98a to 98g. Delta drafts assessments in your structure and keeps the memory of the patient's care, but does not fill in the annexes. Logopedio, which is free, lets you fill in the forms yourself as PDF. In every case, you review and sign.

Can I use ChatGPT for my assessments in Belgium?

To rephrase text with no identifying data, yes. For patient data, the Belgian DPA states that processing health data is in principle prohibited outside the exceptions in Article 9 GDPR. We recommend a tool that signs a processing agreement, hosts data in Europe and pseudonymises before the AI.

Can logopedists bill the mutuality electronically?

As of 27/04/2026, the official MyCareNet list shows no software approved for eFact or eAttest for logopedists. Assistool confirms this on its website. With third-party payment, you send the INAMI part of the certificates and a monthly statement every month, according to INAMI. Management software prepares these documents.

Does French software work for a Belgian logopedist?

For management, no: INAMI codes, certificates and MyCareNet require Belgian software. For writing, check that the tool writes in your vocabulary and structure. Delta learns the structure of your existing assessments, and your data stays in Europe, in France, on infrastructure certified for health data.

How long must a speech therapy patient file be kept in Belgium?

Article 35 of the law of 22 April 2019 on the quality of healthcare practice states (our translation): "The healthcare professional keeps the patient record for a minimum of 30 years and a maximum of 50 years from the last contact with the patient." We recommend software that lets you export all your files.
