Installing the desktop app
Download and install Delta on macOS or Windows, sign in and keep your application up to date.
Install Delta on your computer and sign in with your existing account.
Open the Downloads page and choose the macOS or Windows download.
Install on macOS
The same Mac installer works with both Apple Silicon and Intel processors. You do not need to choose between two versions.
- Open the downloaded .dmg file.
- Drag the Delta icon into the Applications folder and wait for the copy to finish.
- Open Delta from Applications, then sign in with your email address and password.
Use the copy in Applications rather than opening Delta directly from the installation window or leaving it in Downloads.
Install on Windows
The Windows download is an installer for 64-bit Intel or AMD computers (x64).
- Open the downloaded .exe file.
- Follow the installation wizard. You can keep the proposed installation folder.
- When installation is complete, open Delta from the Start menu, then sign in with your email address and password.
Before your first recording
When Delta requests access to your microphone, allow it so that you can record. If access has already been denied, check the microphone permissions in your computer's privacy settings.
Installation and updates: common questions
How do I update Delta?
Delta checks for updates and offers to install them. When an update is offered, click Install and follow the instructions. The application restarts after installation; if it asks you to restart it manually, close and reopen Delta.
Some updates are required to continue using Delta. In that case, follow the dedicated update screen.
What if installation or an update fails?
You can download the current installer again from the Downloads page. Close Delta before reinstalling it, once any recording in progress has finished.
